We see more homeless than before. I feel for some that really need the help. But helping them means they will stay in the area, and more come knowing there's help. I don't feel safe for my family that have to deal with some that are out of control due to drugs and mental health. Billions spent and nothing has changed. California government has lost track of 24 billion dollars. Im sorry but we know that money is going to the politicians pockets. Were not helping homeless. Were helping launder money for the government.

Were getting more people in North long beach and they have a lot of junk and block the sidewalk. To much resources being spent on people just living off the taxpayers becuse i talk to them. 😢😢😢😢and no help from prop 1 more housing less professional help what a deal.

OMG SO SAD 😭 I was at that school too cuz my aunt was is Long Beach too I I go to school there now I am 17 and 11th now I went to that school in 10th so ya my mom took me out of that school cuz she doesn’t want me to go to my aunt house and she doesn’t like my aunt or my cousins and I was riding on the school bus cuz my IEP so ya ❤Now I miss my friends and teachers I am crying 😢😢😢

Are people who were made destitute qualify for a tiny home?

Last night my wife treated me to a night on the ship for my birthday and we were unpleasantly supersized that our deluxe harbor view state room looked nothing like the pictures on their website. It looked more like the standard room with wallpaper and not wooden panel walls. My birthday diner at Chelsea Chowder House was not worth the $130. I had the clam chowder which I give a 2 out of 5, a half dozen roasted oysters that were not good at all and a wedge salad that was good. My wife has the blackened salmon and mash potatoes that were good as well. The waiter was very nice but forgot things even that it was a birthday diner that was noted on the reservation...that OK we still tipped him well. This morning that meet with having to cancel the 90+ per person brunch due to not being able to take a shower due to no hot nor warm water, just very cold. We usually don't complain, we just don't return, but I want others to know what we experienced. My wife politely brought this to the front desk's attention, and they said that we need to contact Expedia and that the hotel ship will honor a partial refund. We see what happens. Not what you would expect for $320 a night.

The city's plans to reduce homelessness woefully insufficient. 200 new shelter spaces? For a population of 3400? And 75% are severely mentally ill or suffering from addition? Sorry, you're not doing enough. Not enough for the citizens, and not enough for the unhoused. Women aren't safe in this city (see links below). The mayor says he's increased patrols in response to these violent incidents, but we don't see it. We don't feel safe. The city continuously fails to enforce it's own laws and ordinances. Wherever you call, be it the non-emergency number or the homelessness hotline, there is a marked reluctance to help, if they respond at all. We pay 10.25% sales taxes, thousands in property tax, and thousands more in income tax, yet our government fails to fulfill its very basic duty: to keep us safe.
